Completed in 2022 for a client passionate about winter sports and plants, the home features a carefully planned layout including a garage, ski room, guest quarters, and a warm, inviting main living area.
With wide overhanging eaves, outdoor decks, and a central solarium, the design emphasizes natural materials and a strong connection to the outdoors. The house frames spectacular views of Mount Yotei, Mount Shiribetsu, and the Annupuri mountain range, creating a seamless relationship between interior spaces and the dramatic scenery.

Blending with the Landscape
The home is carefully positioned to capture sweeping views of Mount Yotei, Mount Shiribetsu, and Mount Konbu, allowing the surrounding scenery to become an essential part of everyday living. Its exterior reflects a balanced combination of contemporary and rustic design elements. Materials such as Donan cedar and cement-based finishes create a strong connection between the building and the surrounding forested landscape.
A Warm and Inviting Interior
Upon entering the house, visitors are welcomed by a comfortable and inviting living space. A central fireplace anchors the open-plan living room, dining area, and kitchen, while large panoramic windows fill the interior with natural light and frame the spectacular mountain views.
