The 2023 World of Wearable Art Competition Reveals Its Winners in a Spectacular Show (27 Pics)

The World of Wearable Art Competition (WOW) is a globally recognized event where designers create extraordinary costumes and present them in a major annual contest. The event celebrates “wearable art,” a form of clothing designed primarily as artistic expression rather than for everyday fashion.

WOW invites artists and designers from all over the world to showcase their creativity. For more than 35 years, the breathtaking pieces created by finalists have been featured in the annual WOW Show held at TSB Arena in Wellington, New Zealand.

In 2023, the top honor—the Supreme WOW Award—was presented to Gill Saunders for her striking design titled “Earthling.” Scroll down to discover more of the incredible creations from this year’s competition!
